Gregory D’Angelo, MD
Dr. Gregory D’Angelo is a board-certified surgeon specializing in orthopaedic surgery. With nearly 30 years of experience, Dr. D’Angelo is a veteran knee surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive joint surgery. He has specialized expertise in the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and specialty training in pediatric orthopaedics. He is fellowship trained to perform arthroscopic surgery in knees, shoulders and ankles. Dr. D’Angelo been recognized for his amiable bedside manner with several awards and distinctions, including the Patients’ Choice award from 2010-2012 and a Compassionate Doctor Recognition in 2011-2012.
Dr. D’Angelo is a graduate of McMaster University Hamilton Ontario, where received his initial medical education. He completed his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital Toronto and his residency at the University of Toronto.
He is a senior partner in Bluegrass Orthopaedics and is committed to providing specialized, comprehensive orthopaedic care.
John Balthrop, MD
Dr. John Balthrop is a specialist in Lexington knee surgery and knee replacement. He has been practicing medicine in the Lexington area for more than 20 years. He is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a special interest in joint replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery and treatment of shoulder injuries.
Dr. Balthrop attended the University of Miami, where he received his education in medicine. He completed his internship at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is a senior partner in Bluegrass Orthopaedics.
Wallace Huff, MD
Dr. Wallace Huff is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who practices general orthopaedics. He specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine, an area in which he is also board certified, and total joint replacements, including knee surgery and knee replacement.
Dr. Huff earned his degree in medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed a residency and fellowship at the University of Virginia. An experienced Lexington knee surgeon, Dr. Huff joined Bluegrass Orthopaedics in 2010 after 10 years of practice in Virginia and Kentucky.
Veronica A. Vasicek, MD
Dr. Veronica A. Vasicek specializes in general orthopaedics and is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. She has more than 20 years of experience as a Lexington knee surgeon and providing specialized care in general orthopaedics. Dr. Vasicek focuses her practice on knee and shoulder replacement and arthroscopic surgery.
She received her medical education at the East Tennessee State University, Quillen-Disher College of Medicine and completed both her internship and orthopaedic residency at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Vasicek is a senior partner at Bluegrass Orthopaedics.
Travis Hunt, MD
Dr. Hunt received his medical education from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, served a fellowship at the University of Virginia and completed his residency at University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Hunt is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr Hunt holds clinics at our Hamburg location in Lexington, as well as our Georgetown location.
Tim Wilson, MD
Dr. Wilson is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a sub-specialty certification in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Alabama Hospitals and his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kentucky. He specializes in treatment of the ankle, knee, hip, elbow, and shoulder. Dr. Wilson serves as team physician for Lexington Christian Academy and Scott County High School. Dr. Wilson has a strong desire of supporting our youth athletes, specifically high school sports, and has a heart for prevention of injuries and athlete development. He serves on the AAOS Ethics Committee and has large passion for medical mission work in Haiti. Dr. Wilson holds clinics at our Hamburg location in Lexington, as well as our Georgetown location.
